Well say hi to Vaporeon, but you can call her Ronnie for short. Did you say snuggles? Where? When? She’ll be there!
Vaporeon is an absolute sweetheart and just wants to please!
She is a very pretty mixed-breed girl. We believe she is a 2-year-old Staghound X Blue Heeler with some other breeds thrown in.
Vaporeon’s story begins in rural NSW where her family no longer wanted her, so they tied her up at the local Coles shopping centre for hours until she was impounded.
A month later MPDRI rescued her and brought her into foster care.
Vaporeon is still a pup at heart and loves to play, sometimes jumping up, and nibbling on shoes and socks. She adores toys with treats inside and those that squeak!
She is wonderful with other dogs and will happily share her toys, beds and even food with other dogs. She is always trying to please her foster carer and is a fast learner!
Vaporeon needs to be mentally and physically stimulated. When walking or given a toy, you can see her brain working! Do you love camping, hiking or going to sports events where there is a lot to do and see? All these activities would be perfect for her!
She would prefer a home with another dog, one that is medium energy who she can play with and chase around the backyard. She MUST have a large backyard to play or sun-bake in. She has proven that she does not cope in small backyards.
Vaporeon will happily take herself to bed in a crate at night and you won't hear a peep out of her until morning. She would also love to snuggle with you on your bed or couch.
Vaporeon has lovely wiry hair and a cute beard that will keep you warm at night. She has met cats, horses and chickens. We think she would be great with all other animals with a slow introduction. She barked at the horses as she was scared, but quickly calmed once she was reassured.
Vaporeon requires a confident family who are comfortable with continuing her training. She walks best on a halti and can get very excited when she sees dogs in the distance.
If you are looking for a medium/large-sized shaggy girl who lives for snuggles and cuddles then you have found her! If you are an active family ready to include Vaporeon in your daily activities then she is ready to hear from you!
