Calling all adult or retired families looking for a beautiful dog to spoil!

Chaturanga (but you can call her Talia) is around 7 months old and a female Ridgeback x Bull Arab. She is knee height but may grow a little more, she is still quite lean.

Little is known of Chaturanga’s history other than that she was found, lost in the bushland at 6 months old, with her mother, who had two other younger pups from the next litter at foot.

Chaturanga is an absolute smooch and loves to snuggle on the bed or couch. She will tap you or nuzzle her head under your arm if she wants more cuddles.

Everything is new to this gorgeous girl and she is experiencing many situations for the first time. She can get a little startled from the simplest of things, such as cars slamming, kids stomping feet or other loud noises. You must remember, she had not been exposed to much before coming to MPDRI.

Chataranga is dog friendly, however she is a little timid and needs more interaction around dogs and people to gain her confidence. Right now, she mainly just stands still and is unsure how to engage.

She is currently being fostered with a cat and has shown nothing but curiosity towards it. When the cat hisses, she will back off, so she has demonstrated that she can live with a dog-savvy cat. Just make sure the cat food is out of reach, or she will eat that too!!

This sweetheart is toilet trained, knows how to sit, and is learning to heel and knows how to "watch". She picked up the command for "watch" quickly, so she’ll be super fast at learning new commands!

Chaturanga’s ideal family is home a majority of the time, when they are out, they must keep her stimulated with toys or a bone. If she gets bored, she can get destructive.

Young children are fast, unpredictable, and a bit scary right now. Although she has met a few, it's taken her a while to let them pat her. She'd much prefer an adult-only home, please.

Chaturanga’s ideal family will be adults who are looking for a "project" dog, who they will slowly see blossom, from a timid girl, into a well-rounded dog. They will be experienced with bully breeds or large breeds, as she can be stubborn. She pretends to be scared, but she’s really just not wanting to do something. She’s a bit cheeky!
